How to Prepare for Your Visit
Thank you for agreeing to participate in our PEAR Study! During the visit, you and your child will play games together and complete tasks on a computer or tablet (iPad), which will be video- and audio-recorded. We will also use our equipment to track eye-gaze and heart rate. We will be placing electrodes on you and your child’s hands, neck, and torso and doing activities with your child. The visit will take approximately 3 hours.
Below are some guidelines when preparing for your visit with us. Following these guidelines ensures that you and your child are fully able to participate in all activities and data collection. Please feel free to contact us at 617-353-7370 or at BosPEAR@bu.edu if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you and your child!

Informed Consent Forms
Before you participate in our study, you will need to read and sign informed consent forms that explain study activities in detail.
There are two consent forms per lab visit-- one for the questionnaires you will complete at home, and another for in-person activities during your lab visit. Once your lab visit is scheduled, we will email you the first consent form and questionnaires to fill out remotely. Then, when you come in for the lab visit, we will go over the second consent form. If you would like to review the lab visit consent form before then, you can download it by clicking the button below.
